From 9 to 12 July, units of the Coast Guard of the Royal Moroccan Navy, operating in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, rescued 257 people, including women and children, who attempted to carry out illegal immigration operations.
A source from the Royal Moroccan Navy explained that these people, who belong to the countries of sub-Saharan Africa, tried to cross the Spanish coasts with dangerous journeys aboard traditional boats and swimming, as assistance and aid were provided before they were transferred to the nearest ports of the Kingdom of Morocco To complete the applicable procedures in such cases.
