4.7 magnitude earthquake hits southwestern Iceland

An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck the Reykjanes peninsula in southwestern Iceland today.
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center has announced that the quake occurred about 1,371 km from Reykjavik, at a depth of 10 km from the earth’s surface, while there have been no reports of material or human damage following the quake.
