Today, an earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck the Solomon Islands in the Pacific Ocean.

The US Geological Survey reported that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 94 kilometers from the Lata region and at a depth of 66.4 kilometers. Fortunately, there were no human casualties or material damage resulting from the earthquake.
