5.4 magnitude earthquake hits central Romania

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck the Transylvania region of central Romania.
The Romanian Institute of Geophysics said in a note that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 73 km from the city of Brasov in the region, at a depth of 148.8 km, noting that there are no reports of material or human damage as a result of the earthquake so far.
