5 players of the German national team put in quarantine for Corona

The German Football Association announced today, Tuesday, that five national team players are undergoing quarantine after one of them was confirmed to be infected with the Corona virus, ahead of the “Manshavat” guarantor of his qualification for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the last two European qualifying rounds.

And the local game federation stated that the infected player had received the antiviral doses in full and was showing no symptoms at the time, without specifying his identity.

Meanwhile, the Bild newspaper confirmed that the injured is Bayern Munich defender Niklas Zule.

The federation added that four other players were asked to put themselves on in auto- quarantine after it has been shown to have had close contact with the infected individual, although the results of the test to which they have been subjected have been negative.

“This news, ahead of the last two rounds of European qualification for the World Cup, is bitter for the coaching staff and also for the Germans,” said German Football Association director Oliver Bierhoff.

Germany will play their two games against Liechtenstein on the 11th of this month, and then Armenia in the country of quest’last three days later, and is the guarantor of his qualification for the final stage.

Germany lead their 10th group with 21 points after winning seven of their eight games, eight points ahead of Romania’s second, two rounds before qualifying ends.

Germany suffers from a recent increase in the number of people infected by the “Covid-19” pandemic as the seven-day rate of HIV infections reached a new record Tuesday.

This number also highlights once again the rejection of the star Bayern Munich’s Jozo Kimmich to receive the vaccine, with questions asked by the Bild newspaper about what this means for the unvaccinated player.

Kimmich, who served as captain of “Manchavat” in qualifiers recently, sparked bitter controversy in the country last month when he revealed he had chosen not to receive the vaccine, due to “personal concerns,” prompting Interior Minister Horst Seehofer urged him to reconsider his position because “” Vaccination is the main weapon in the fight against the epidemic.
