50 categories are granted gold residency in the UAE for 10 years

The annex to the discipline of golden residence permits attached to the resolution of the Council of Ministers no. 65 of 2022 containing the executive regulation of the federal decree-law n. 29 of 2021 in subject of entry and residence of foreigners, entered in effective on October 3, it included over 50 categories of specializations granted them gold residency in the UAE for a period of 10 years, under specific terms and conditions.

The annex provides that the Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Port Security will grant a golden residence permit to scholars and specialized professionals in the case in which the conditions and controls specified in this Decision are met and falls within in this category:

Scientists and researchers with high achievement and influence in their field based on the recommendation of the Emirates Scholars Council.

Scholars senior and religious with high contributions and influence on the recommendation of the Ministry of Culture and Youth or the competent local authorities.

Elite specialists in the fields of industry and the Fourth Industrial Revolution based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology or the relevant local authorities.

Elite healthcare professionals based on the recommendation of the Community Ministry of Health and Protection or the relevant local authorities.

Elite specialists in the education sectors based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Education or the relevant local authorities.

Qualified workforce of specialists at higher professional levels according to the professional classification approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and includes the following categories:

Heads and CEOs at the first professional level.

Second professional level specialists, with more than 50 specializations, are:

Specialists in sciences (physicists, astronomers, climatologists, specialists in mathematics, actuarial and statistical sciences, specialists in life sciences, environment, epidemiology, agricultural sciences, etc.).

Specialists in engineering, including (vital disciplines such as electrical engineering, computer and communications engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing, mining, environment, robotic engineering, biotechnology, architects, urban planners and others).

Health professionals (doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, audiologists, speech and ophthalmologists, physiotherapists, nutritionists and other vital health specialties).

Specialists in higher, general and vocational education, program developers studioadvanced teaching and assessment methods, education for gifted and special needs people, and others.

Business and managerial professionals (financial and investment consultants, financial analysts, e-commerce, digital marketing, etc.).

IT professionals (analysts and developers of software and applications and specialists in date scienceartificial intelligence and information security).

Lawyers, sociology and culture professionals (lawyers, judges, economists, specialists in sociologists, philosophy, politics, history, authors, journalists, linguists, plastic arts (galleries, museums, sculptors), musicians, singers, directors, actors and broadcasters).
