Today, an earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale struck the Kathmandu Valley. This natural disaster has left a lasting impact on the region, causing severe damage to buildings and affecting the lives of countless individuals.

According to Lok Bijay Adhikari, the Head of the National Center for Seismic Monitoring and Research, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Khari area of Dhading district. This district and the surrounding areas felt the full force of the quake, experiencing its destructive power firsthand.
Destruction and Damage
The earthquake wrecked havoc on the affected areas, particularly in Komaltari and Jwalamukhi, both located in Dhading. It resulted in the complete destruction of 20 houses, leaving families without shelter. Additionally, the earthquake caused extensive damage to 75 other buildings in these communities, leaving them in a vulnerable state.
