9 people died and 25 missing in a landslide in Malaysia

Nine people died in a landslide occurred today in a campsite in Malaysia, while another 25 are still missing.

The region’s police chief, Sufyan Abdullah, said 53 people had been rescued at the site of the landslide, of whom seven were injured and taken in hospital for treatment.

On the other hand, the Malaysian Disaster Management Agency said around 94 people were there in a campsite in Batang Kali, about 50km north of the capital, Kuala Lumpur, when the landslide occurred early Friday.
