PlayStation just dropped an exciting announcement: the award-winning soundtrack of Astro Bot is making its way to vinyl! Fans of the game can soon experience its catchy tunes in a whole new format.
Composed by the talented Kenny CM Young, this 2LP collection is set to be released later this year. While the exact release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, eager fans can already pre-order their copies. The gatefold cover will feature stunning new artwork created by Team Asobi’s Nina Matsumoto, adding a visual flair to this must-have collection.
“I’ve got a soft spot for Casino,” Young shared. “Aspects of that track are the closest I’ve got to a 1960s or 1970s library track. It’s just me, you know, I’ve got a real interest in retro aesthetics.” You can truly hear this passion reflected in the game’s soundtrack.
New Levels and Controller Comebacks
As if that wasn’t enough, Astro Bot is also gearing up for some fresh content this week. The addition of new challenge levels will increase the total number of planets to a whopping 90!
Additionally, the popular Astro Bot DualSense controller is making a comeback after quickly selling out during its first run. “Since the first controller proved so popular, we have brought it back with a new joyful twist to the touch pad!” the team confirmed. More details are expected soon.
