Get Ready for the Ghost of Yōtei
Sony just dropped an exciting bombshell for gamers! A stunning lineup of Ghost of Yōtei-themed PS5 consoles and controllers will launch alongside the much-anticipated game on October 2.
This PS5 Ghost of Yōtei Gold Limited Edition Bundle will be available globally, showcasing a beautiful design inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics using lacquer and gold.
If you’re looking for something unique, a black edition of the same design will also be sold exclusively through PlayStation Direct in select regions, with further availability at various retailers. This version pays homage to the Japanese art of Sumi-e, where black ink brings paintings to life.
Matching DualSense wireless controllers come with both bundles, but if you already own a PS5, you can snag Console Covers for PS5 and PS5 Pro directly from PlayStation, though these will be in limited quantities in some regions.
Artistry Meets Gaming
Creative Director Jason Connell shared that the design draws inspiration from core game elements, emphasizing exploration. Each console’s artwork features hand-drawn icons that Atsu marks on her map, with a kintsugi-style effect reminiscent of her Ghost mask, alongside brushstrokes channeling her Sumi-e paintings.
The design culminates with a striking depiction of Mount Yōtei, serving as a focal point on the console, while Atsu takes center stage on the DualSense controller. This thoughtful integration of artistic elements creates a truly immersive gaming experience.
To amplify the excitement, PlayStation recently aired a 20-minute deep dive during their State of Play, revealing some fascinating new game systems from the upcoming title.
Launching exclusively for the PS5, Ghost of Yōtei is poised to make a significant impact on the gaming scene. Earlier this year, Sucker Punch unveiled a collector’s edition, packed with pre-order bonuses and all in-game items from the Digital Deluxe Edition, along with a spectacular replica of Atsu’s Ghost mask, scaled to match Jin’s from the Ghost of Tsushima Collector’s Edition.
