Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Packs Confirm Key Features

The Pokémon Company just dropped some exciting news regarding the upcoming Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution. After some early promotional material sparked speculation, it’s now clear: every booster pack will contain both an Energy card and a TCG Live code card, putting fans at ease.

Initial teasers had fans buzzing with the possibility that the Mega Evolution booster packs might only include one of these cards. This change, if true, could have significantly impacted the TCG Live experience, leaving some players concerned that fewer physical packs would mean fewer opportunities for digital gameplay.

Fortunately, a statement from The Pokémon Company confirmed the earlier materials were misleading. “Fans may notice select Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution product packaging inaccurately describes booster packs as including either an Energy card or a Pokémon TCG Live code card. To clarify, all booster packs will continue to include both,” the statement revealed. This update ensures that players can still enjoy both the physical and digital aspects of the game without compromise.

With the set launching on September 26, excitement is at a fever pitch. Pre-orders at The Pokémon Center have already sold out, illustrating just how eagerly fans are anticipating the first release of the new Mega Evolution era, moving on from the Scarlet and Violet era. Plus, Mega Evolution will introduce the intriguing ‘Mega Ultra Rare’ cards, promising to shake things up in the gameplay.
