Battlefield 6 fans are eagerly counting down to the open beta, launching this weekend and set to bring plenty of action to players of all platforms.
After a whirlwind of early access that even crashed servers due to overwhelming interest, the Battlefield 6 beta will now welcome all players, no reservations needed.
The beta kicks off on August 9 and runs until August 11, available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It starts at 9 AM BST, meaning it’s time to gear up and jump into the fray!
And if you miss the first weekend of chaos, don’t fret. A second open beta will follow from August 14 to August 17, ensuring you get multiple chances to dive in.
Maps and Modes to Explore
You can preload the open beta ahead of time to maximize your gameplay experience. The first weekend features three action-packed maps: Siege of Cairo, Liberation Peak, and Iberian Offensive.
Siege of Cairo offers intense urban combat through the bustling streets of central Cairo, introducing a thrilling game of cat and mouse between infantry and armored vehicles.
Next up is Liberation Peak, set in the stunning mountains of Tajikistan. This rocky terrain isn’t just visually captivating; it provides ample cover and strategic advantages for various types of gameplay. Infantry and tanks can use the heights to dominate the battlefield, making for some intense tactical encounters.
Last but not least, the Iberian Offensive map immerses players in the winding streets of Gibraltar. Here, combatants will dodge heavily armored tanks while utilizing the terrain to gain tactical advantages.
In terms of game modes, players can expect to engage in Conquest, Closed Weapon Conquest, Breakthrough, Domination, and King of the Hill.
The second beta weekend will introduce the Empire State map and additional game modes, including Rush, Squad Deathmatch, and Closed Weapon Breakthrough, amplifying the excitement even more.
