Easily Find Your Best Photos Like Never Before on iOS 26

Apple’s recent iOS 18 update, released on September 15, introduced a user-friendly feature that will change the way you manage your photos. The new sorting option allows users to access recently saved images more efficiently, providing a much-needed enhancement for those who often receive photos from friends or family. Instead of being buried in a timeline reflecting the date the photo was taken, your recently added pictures now stand out based on the date they were saved.

Previously, if you received a photo and saved it, you’d have to sift through countless images to find it, making it frustrating when searching for memories from specific events. This was an ongoing hassle for many users. Now, with the simple toggle in the Photos app called Sort by Recently Added, finding those cherished images is a breeze.

Enhancing Photo Management with iOS 18

1. Open the Photos app.
2. Tap the three dots in the upper right corner of your screen.
3. Select Sort by Recently Added.

After making this selection, your photos will be rearranged accordingly. Your most recently saved images will now be easily accessible, appearing at the bottom of the grid, regardless of when the actual photos were taken. This functionality significantly reduces the time spent searching for pictures that might otherwise be lost within a cluttered timeline.

iOS 18 is not the only recent update you should be aware of. The latest iOS 26 brings a sleek Liquid Glass redesign and improved call screening capabilities, allowing for an overall better experience on your iPhone. Along with these enhancements, many hidden features await your discovery.
