Hello Games has released No Man’s Sky update 7.04 on September 22, 2026, focusing on stability and progression fixes for the “Our Journey Continues” expedition. The patch addresses a major economy glitch and prevents players from becoming stranded during specific mission milestones.
Expedition and Progression Fixes
The “Our Journey Continues” expedition receives several critical adjustments to ensure player progression is not interrupted. The update resolves a block where players were able to trade away their Multi-Tool before reaching the “Beyond” milestone, which previously halted their ability to continue. To further streamline the experience, the Terrain Manipulator blueprint is now known by default.
- Expedition Rewards: New reward ships granted through the current expedition no longer incorrectly require nanites to be claimed.
- Space Station Limits: A previous restriction that prevented players from claiming additional space stations has been removed.
Settlement and Ship Adjustments
A significant bug affecting planetary settlements has been resolved. Previously, settlement debt could jump to approximately 2 billion units, effectively breaking economic progression. This debt spike has been corrected.
Navigation for Corvette-class ships has also been improved. The update prevents Corvettes from teleporting into legacy space stations, an issue that caused these ships to become physically stuck within the older station geometry. This fix ensures that fleet management and station docking remain functional across both new and legacy systems.
Technical Performance
Update 7.04 includes targeted memory usage improvements to enhance stability. These optimizations specifically benefit the Xbox One and the Switch 2. By optimizing memory overhead on these platforms, the update aims to reduce crashes during planetary transitions and high-density base rendering.
