Rainbow Six Siege Update 3.49 Patch Notes: Sledge and Buck Buffed in Y11S3.1

Ubisoft has released Update 3.49 for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, marking the Y11S3.1 hotfix. Launched on September 22, 2026, across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, the patch introduces refinements to Operator gadgets and weapon damage values following the launch of Year 11 Season 3.

Operator and Gadget Refinements

The update focuses on the efficiency of soft-breaching Operators and the durability of defensive utility. Sledge and Buck have both received updates to their signature gadgets to adjust their pacing and sustainability during a round.

  • Sledge: The swing time for the Breaching Hammer has been reduced to 0.8 seconds, down from 1.0 second.
  • Buck: Total ammunition for the Skeleton Key under-barrel shotgun has increased from 31 to 36.
  • Castle: The Armor Panel now requires 10 melee hits to destroy, an increase from the previous 9 hits.

The reduction in Sledge’s hammer swing time allows for faster transitions between breaching and weapon readiness, while Buck’s increased shell count provides more capacity for vertical play and environmental destruction.

Shotgun Damage Adjustments

Two semi-automatic shotguns have received base damage increases to adjust their lethality at close range:

  • M1014: Base damage increased to 30 HP (up from 28 HP).
  • SPAS-15: Base damage increased to 26 HP (up from 24 HP).

Bug Fixes and Noor Interactions

A significant portion of the Y11S3.1 hotfix addresses the interaction between the Operator Noor and existing shield mechanics. Previously, Montagne’s Le Roc Shield would automatically retract when struck by Noor’s Horus Lance gadget. This update fixes that issue, ensuring the shield remains deployed during the interaction.

General stability and UI fixes include:

  • Fixed a bug where customized team colors would reset to default when entering or exiting the Match Replay system.
  • Resolved the unintentional shield retraction for Montagne when countered by Noor’s Horus Lance.

These changes are currently live on all supported platforms. For the full technical breakdown, players can refer to the official Ubisoft patch notes.
