Psyonix has released Rocket League Update 2.76 on September 23, 2026, marking the start of Season 24 across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. This update introduces several significant systems changes, including the long-requested ability to trade in Black Market items and a new social challenge mechanic during active matches.
Black Market Trade-ins and Custom Scoreboards
The most substantial change for collectors is the introduction of Black Market Trade-ins. Players can now exchange three duplicate Black Market items to receive one new Black Market item. This system follows the 3-for-1 rarity exchange logic previously restricted to lower-tier items, providing a way to cycle out unwanted high-rarity duplicates.
For players focused on specific mechanics, Custom Scoreboards now allow for more granular stat tracking. Instead of the traditional Shots, Saves, and Assists, players can opt to track alternative metrics on the in-game scoreboard, including:
- Demolitions
- High Fives
- Flip Resets
Honor Duels and Bullet Ball LTM
Update 2.76 introduces “Honor Duels,” a feature that allows players to initiate 1v1 challenges during the course of an active match.
A new Limited Time Mode (LTM) called Bullet Ball has also been added. This is a last-car-standing free-for-all mode centered around a homing ball. If the ball impacts a player’s car, they are immediately demolished, with the goal being to survive as the final car on the field.
Keyboard and Mouse Improvements
Players using Keyboard and Mouse (KBM) controls receive two specific quality-of-life updates in this version. A free look camera has been added to improve spatial awareness, alongside an optional center-dot reticule to help players maintain their orientation during complex aerial maneuvers.
Bug Fixes and Technical Improvements
The 2.76 patch addresses several platform-specific issues and training bugs:
- PlayStation 5: Fixed a bug where the front-end interface would become invisible if the game was launched while the console was in Rest Mode.
- Training Packs: Resolved an issue in mirrored Training Packs where cars would occasionally spawn inside the ground geometry.
Detailed technical information and the full list of changes can be found in the official Rocket League v2.76 patch notes.
