Production for the second season of Alien: Earth is moving forward following the conclusion of its debut season.
Production Shifts to Pinewood Studios
Filming for the second season of the FX series, led by Noah Hawley, began in July 2026. The production has shifted locations from Thailand, where the first season was primarily filmed, to Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom. This move brings the series back to the historic site where the original 1979 Alien film was produced.
The change in scenery coincides with a major expansion of the cast. Sydney Chandler is confirmed to return in her lead role as Wendy/Marcy, maintaining the central thread of the narrative as the series explores the Xenomorph threat on a future Earth.
The second season will also feature a notable on-screen reunion. Former Game of Thrones co-stars Peter Dinklage and Jerome Flynn have joined the cast, bringing additional veteran talent to the ensemble.
