The Wardogs Development Team has released Update 0.1.2 for PC, headlined by a critical resolution for the WD-L020 crash and a shift in the game’s anti-cheat enforcement policy. This patch moves the title into a more rigid period of competitive integrity.
Windows 11 Stability and Technical Fixes
The primary technical focus of Update 0.1.2 is the resolution of the WD-L020 error, a crash triggered by the Windows 11 update KB5124010. This fix restores stability for players on affected operating systems who were previously unable to maintain a connection to the game client.
In addition to stability improvements, the update addresses a specific balance bug affecting the Havoc vehicle. Previously, the 20mm and 30mm cannons on the Havoc were dealing unintended levels of increased damage. This has been corrected to align with the intended damage profiles for vehicle combat.
Stricter Exploit Enforcement and Integrity
Update 0.1.2 marks the end of leniency for players utilizing exploits. The Wardogs Development Team has confirmed that first-time leniency has concluded; repeat offenders will now face permanent bans without prior warning. This policy shift is supported by technical changes to the game’s architecture:
- Server-Authoritative Revives: Revive action validity checks are now fully server-authoritative. This change prevents exploit abuse of the revive system, ensuring that all medic actions are legitimate before they are processed.
- RCON Security: For community server administrators, RCON now defaults to “Standard” response detail rather than “Full.” This measure improves security regarding data transmitted in standard responses.
UI Redesign and Economy Changes
The DEPLOY selection menu has been redesigned to include four distinct server categories:
- Official
- Community
- Infantry Mode
- Low-Level
The in-game economy has also been adjusted regarding buildable structures. Rewards for destroying buildables now scale based on their construction progress. Destroying a more complete fortification provides a higher reward than one that has just been placed.
Players can find the full technical breakdown in the official Steam Community announcement.
