Marvel Studios Confirms Emerald and Gold Costume for Vision in VisionQuest

Marvel Studios has officially confirmed a comprehensive costume redesign for Vision in the upcoming Disney+ series VisionQuest. Scheduled to debut with a two-episode premiere on October 14, 2026, the series marks the conclusion of a narrative trilogy that includes WandaVision and Agatha All Along.

The updated look represents a significant shift from the “White Vision” persona introduced at the end of WandaVision. While initial previews shown at D23 2026 featured a white-gold variant of the synthetic hero, a new teaser released on September 28, 2026, showcases a more vibrant aesthetic. The new costume features an emerald green and gold color scheme, complete with a high collar that aligns more closely with the character’s classic comic book appearances.

The new costume departs from the 'White Vision' look for a palette inspired by the character's comic origins.

This visual evolution serves as a literal representation of Vision’s psychological journey. After existing as a memory-wiped, pale shell of his former self, the return to a colorful palette suggests a restoration of his identity. Showrunner Terry Matalas is reportedly focusing the series on Vision’s quest to reclaim his humanity while navigating the legacy of his various internal programming. This “identity crisis” is expected to involve the return of several AI personas that have defined his history, including J.A.R.V.I.S. and F.R.I.D.A.Y., who may appear as distinct internal voices.

Cast and Character Returns

The series will also feature the high-profile return of James Spader as Ultron. Reports indicate that Spader’s role will be multifaceted, utilizing both digital AI avatars and human-form representations to challenge his “son” once more. According to official VisionQuest production details, the series will bridge the gap between Vision’s mechanical origins and his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The supporting cast introduces several key figures from the comics. Ruaridh Mollica is set to appear as Thomas Shepard, also known as the speedster Speed and one of Wanda Maximoff’s twin sons. Additionally, T’Nia Miller has joined the cast as Jocasta, an AI character who, in Marvel lore, was traditionally created by Ultron to be his mate but eventually joined the Avengers.

As the final chapter of the WandaVision trilogy, the show is expected to resolve the lingering threads of Vision’s existence following the collapse of the Westview Hex. While Elizabeth Olsen’s return as the Scarlet Witch has been a point of heavy speculation, the focus of VisionQuest remains on the title character’s transition from a weapon of the state back into a hero with a distinct moral compass.
