Titus Welliver voices a character in the new Adult Swim animated series Get Jiro!, which is an adaptation of the 2012 graphic novel.
The series is scheduled to premiere on Adult Swim’s Toonami block at midnight on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Fans looking for deeper insights into the production can also look forward to a dedicated panel at New York Comic Con on October 10, 2026.
A Culinary Dystopia
Based on the 2012 graphic novel co-written by the late Anthony Bourdain and Joel Rose, Get Jiro! is set in a near-future Los Angeles where master chefs rule the city like crime lords and people will literally kill for a seat at the best restaurants. To ensure the adaptation remained faithful to Bourdain’s specific tone and culinary philosophy, the creative team worked on the production’s development.
Welliver voices “Bob,” a high-ranking “Internationalist” chef and crime lord who specializes in classic French cuisine. Bob serves as a primary antagonist and rival to the title character, Jiro, a renegade sushi chef voiced by Brian Tee. The cast also features Alison Pill as Rose, another rival chef caught in the city’s brutal gastronomic turf wars.
