VOID Interactive has released update v1.5.3 for Ready or Not, which appears as version 1.001.010 on PlayStation 5. The patch prioritizes game performance and level-loading times alongside significant stability fixes for console players.
While the Mission Editor was a major addition in the previous Update 1.5 cycle, this patch serves as a refinement of those tools, ensuring that custom mission parameters and suspect behaviors function as intended.
Mission Editor Refinements
The Mission Editor Station now includes direct access to the firing range, allowing for more efficient testing of custom scenarios. Several logic and saving issues within the editor have also been addressed:
- Suspect Spawning: Fixed a bug where suspects failed to spawn when equipped with both knives and bomb vests simultaneously.
- Setting Persistence: The “Damage Cap” and “Suspect Fire Rate” settings now correctly save and retain modified values.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Improvements
Console players receive several platform-specific stability updates. On PlayStation 5, a fix was implemented for players failing to authenticate their connection to Epic Online Services. Additionally, specific crashes occurring on the following maps have been resolved:
- Ides of March
- Valley of the Dolls
- 23 Megabytes A Second
- Greased Palms
- Ends of the Earth
For Xbox players, the update introduces new host-side notifications regarding network instability, helping users identify when connection quality is impacting the gameplay experience.
Performance and Localization
General technical improvements in v1.5.3 target the speed at which levels load and overall game performance. Localization adjustments were also included in this update, such as correcting the letter ‘C’ in the G-18C pistol name and restoring missing Turkish text in the Item and Command menus.
According to the official Ready or Not patch notes on Steam, these changes are intended to streamline the user experience across all platforms as the developer continues to iterate on the Mission Editor toolset.
