Gothic 2 Update 1.000.600 Patch Notes for PS5 & XSX

Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic have released update 1.000.600 for Gothic II Complete Classic, addressing technical hurdles facing the recently launched console ports. The update, which arrived on October 16, 2026, primarily resolves a bug involving accelerated dragon health regeneration and restores missing audio for Polish players.

This patch is currently available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. While the “Complete Classic” edition includes the “Night of the Raven” expansion content by default, the modern hardware environment introduced specific mechanical issues that this update aims to stabilize.

Dragon Health Regeneration Fix

The most notable gameplay change in version 1.000.600 is the fix for dragon health points (HP) regenerating at an unintended speed. This fix addresses the regeneration script to ensure these encounters function as originally intended on modern consoles.

Restoration of Polish Voice-Overs

Players using the Polish localization had reported that voice-over (VO) audio files were non-functional. Update 1.000.600 restores these audio assets, allowing the Polish dubbing to play correctly during dialogue and cutscenes.

Stability and Previous Updates

Beyond these major fixes, the patch includes general stability improvements and minor gameplay refinements to enhance the experience on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to UpdateCrazy, this follows a previous hotfix, version 1.000.040, which was released on October 6, 2026, to address issues with trophy and achievement unlocking.

While the update is live for current-generation consoles, a PlayStation 4 version of the patch is expected to follow.
