Strictly’s Dianne Buswell Tells Joe Sugg She Wants a Second Child

Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell has shared a candid update regarding her family plans with partner Joe Sugg, admitting to a sudden case of “baby fever” following a meeting with her 2026 dance partner’s newborn son.

The revelation came in a TikTok video posted on Saturday, October 24, 2026, just hours before the live broadcast. Buswell explained that the catalyst for the discussion was meeting Sonny, the infant son of her celebrity partner Will Best. Sonny was born on October 11, 2026, to Best and his fiancée, Tobi Rose.

“I met Sonny. He’s so gorgeous,” Buswell told her followers, recounting the conversation she had with Sugg after returning home from rehearsals. “I have to say, as soon as I saw him, I went home and said, ‘Joe, I want another one.'”

A Growing Family Timeline

The discussion of a second child comes relatively soon after the birth of the couple’s first son, Bowden ‘Bowie’ Mark Richard Sugg, who was born on March 16, 2026. The choice to discuss expanding their family follows a significant period for Buswell, who made history in 2025 as the first professional dancer on the series to compete while pregnant.

The connection between the dance partners has been bolstered by their shared experiences of new parenthood during the current season. While Buswell is navigating life with a seven-month-old, Best is in the very early stages of fatherhood. Sonny recently made his first appearance in Strictly rehearsal footage, which aired during the same October 24 broadcast.

Buswell and Sugg, who met when they were paired together on the show in 2018, have frequently shared milestones of their relationship and journey into parenthood with their audience. This latest admission highlights the personal impact of the “Strictly family” environment, where the professional and personal lives of the cast often intersect during the intensive rehearsal schedule.
