The sixth season of CBS’s Ghosts arrived on October 29, 2026, with a two-part special titled “Halloween 6: The Mirror,” introducing a shift in the house dynamics that places Trevor Lefkowitz in an uncharacteristically mature role. While Trevor is typically defined by his “finance bro” hedonism and lack of boundaries, actor Asher Grodman revealed that the character is evolving into one of the more grounded members of the Woodstone ensemble.
In an interview with TV Insider, Grodman admitted that Trevor acts as one of the “more rational ghosts” in the season’s opening arc—a trait he finds “hard to square” with Trevor’s established persona. This new maturity was most evident in Trevor’s defense of Pete Martino’s “Do Not Seance” (DNS) wish. While Alberta was driven by a selfish desire to bring Pete back regardless of his wishes, Trevor stood his ground to respect Pete’s afterlife choices, marking a significant departure from his usual self-centered behavior.
The premiere also established a major status quo shift for Pete (Richie Moriarty), who returned to the Woodstone estate only to suffer from total amnesia regarding his afterlife and his fellow spirits. This development complicates the house’s emotional landscape, particularly as the ghosts navigate new supernatural lore. Season 6 introduced the “mirror” mechanic, where spirits who catch their own reflection immediately after death risk becoming trapped within the glass—a fate that Margaret, Hetty’s sister (played by Maria Thayer), has endured.
Twin Flames and Competitive Tension
Beyond his growth as a mediator, Trevor’s relationship with Hetty Woodstone continues to be a focal point of the series. Grodman characterized the pair as “twin flames,” noting that their connection is built on a foundation of high sexual and competitive tension. Despite their vastly different eras and social backgrounds, the two share a similar ruthlessness that keeps their bond deepening, even as they challenge one another.
The expansion of the cast also includes Ben Feldman, who plays the living character Kyle. Feldman has been promoted to a series regular for Season 6, signaling that his presence in the mansion will be a permanent fixture rather than a temporary disruption.
While the “Halloween 6: The Mirror” special provided an immediate resolution to Pete’s disappearance, viewers will have to wait for the full fallout of these changes. Following the premiere special, the remaining 20 episodes of Season 6 are scheduled to begin their regular weekly airings in midseason 2027. This extended season promises to further explore the “rational” Trevor and whether Pete can eventually recover the memories of his Woodstone family.
