Google Health version 5.12 began rolling out to Android and iOS devices on November 6, 2026, introducing manual data entry for blood pressure and a dedicated pregnancy tracking mode. The update represents a significant step in Google’s efforts to centralize clinical health data within the app, which was rebranded from Fitbit earlier this year.
The addition of manual blood pressure logging allows users to integrate cuff-verified readings directly into their dashboard or sync them through Apple Health and Health Connect. This addresses a long-standing limitation where users were previously forced to maintain separate logs for their clinical readings. According to reporting from Android Authority, these manual logging and syncing features do not require a Premium subscription, unlike some of the app’s more advanced trend analysis tools.
The new pregnancy logging feature further expands the app’s reproductive health suite. When a user activates pregnancy tracking, the app automatically pauses standard period predictions and instead displays the current week of pregnancy and relevant milestones. This integration is designed to provide a more accurate health overview during the gestational period without the interference of traditional cycle algorithms.
Beyond manual logging, version 5.12 includes several technical refinements and data visualizations:
- Resilience Score Fix: The update resolves a calculation bug that caused Resilience Scores to be reported as “artificially low” for many users.
- Glucose Overlays: A new visualization for glucose tracking allows users to see tracked events, such as exercise sessions, sleep patterns, and nutrition, overlaid directly on their glucose graphs.
- Laboratory Integration: The app now supports syncing with Function Health, enabling users to view laboratory data alongside their wearable metrics.
For users in England, Google has expanded medical record access through a partnership with Patients Know Best. This allows for the direct syncing of medical records from many NHS GP practices and hospitals into the Google Health interface.
While the core tracking and logging features in the 5.12 update are available to all users, Google Health Premium remains at $9.99 per month or $99 per year. The Premium tier continues to house deeper AI-driven insights and interactions with the Google Health Coach. The rollout is expected to continue in phases through mid-November.
