A drone was shot down over Sevastopol in Crimea.. Reveals an official

The governor of the Russian-appointed city of Sevastopol in Crimea announced on Saturday that air defenses had shot down a drone, in what he called Ukraine’s latest attempt to launch an attack on the port where Russia’s Black Sea Fleet is stationed.

Governor Mikhail Razvoyev wrote his remarks on the Telegram app, saying the incident occurred in prime hours of Saturday morning, the Christmas holidays for Orthodox Christians, according to Reuters.

He added, “Even the Christmas holidays weren’t a reason for these people to stop trying to attack our city.”

Do whatever it takes

Ukraine has not yet claimed responsibility for the attack, nor has it confirmed in previously other similar facts.

But he has made clear that he has the right to do whatever it takes to reclaim his lands.

Inclusion in 2014

Russia annexed Crimea to Ukraine in 2014.

Kiev says it is determined to recapture it, along with areas in the east of the country that Russian forces have controlled since their military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
