Russia’s Emergency Management Department announced on Friday that fire crews are battling a 7,000-square-meter blaze that broke out on Thursday night in a shopping center in a suburb of the capital, Moscow.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations said on the Telegram application that firefighters in the Moscow region are putting out a fire covering 7,000 square meters.
Explosions before catching fire
He also added that the fire broke out in the “Mega Khimki” shopping mall located in the northern suburb of Khimki of the Russian capital, Moscow.
In addition, Russian emergency services have revealed strong suspicions that the widespread fire was “intentional”.

Local residents said the fire broke out in the center located on Moscow’s Leningrad Highway and explosions were heard before the roof caught fire.
They also confirmed that the flames engulfed 150 square meters, including information that one person died, according to i media Russian premises.
