A guide to early 2020 football signing: Dates, Ranking Classes, Top Unconfirmed Rookies

The regular season of 2019 football may be over, but there is plenty of competition left before the calendar year – and not just because of the bowl season.

College football’s early signing period is almost here, offering high school students the option to sign and send their national letters of intent to the schools of their choice and complete their recruitment before National Day of the Day.

The college football early signing period, which enters its third iteration this year, has quickly become accustomed to National Day as one of the most important dates for the college football recruitment process. Many top recruits have already chosen where they want to go to school and many will benefit from the season to make their dedication official.

With that, here’s everything you need to know about college football’s early signing period for the 2020 recruiting class:

When is the course of soccer football in 2019?

  • The window opens: Wednesday, Dec. 18
  • The window closes: Friday, December 20th

The first early signing day is Wednesday and continues until Friday. During this three-day period, recruits will be able to sign and send their national letter of intent to their school of choice. If they choose not to send their NLIs, they will have to wait until February to sign.

In 2017, 70 of the first 100 newcomers sent their NLIs during the first signing period. That number increased to 76 in 2018. According to Composite 247Sports rankings, only 16 of the first 100 guests have not yet publicly announced their commitment to their preferred school.

When is National Signature Day 2020?

  • Date: Thursday 20 February 2020

For those newcomers who are unsure of where they want to sign, they can wait until National Signing Day to send their NLI. This date is February 20, 2020.

College football recruiting class rank 2020

According to the Composite 247Sports rankings, Clemson is in first place, followed by Alabama, LSU, Ohio State and Texas A&M to finish in the top five. According to the recruitment service rankings, the SEC has six of the top 10 ranks. The Big 12 has two, and the ACC and Big Ten have one. Washington, ranked 14th nationally, has the highest ranking in the Pac-12 category.
