“Was supposed to be @corinthialondon for a Breast Cancer Afternoon Tea… instead I’m in A&E after a reaction to the second Covid jab! #itp,”(sic) she captioned the snap.

The presenter returned to the picture-sharing site a short while later with more details and to thank the NHS for looking after her.

She told fans that she’d developed a “few spots of blood” after having her second dose of the Covid vaccine but had been given the all-clear.

Laura suffers from ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura), a disorder that leads to easy bruising and bleeding.

“Thank you for your kind well wishes,” her post began.

“The NHS really are AMAZING.

“I developed a few blood spots after my second Covid jab and to be safe (because of my ITP) I was advised to go to hospital.

“I’ve had blood tests and checks and been given the all clear! #amazingnhs #besafe #itp.”

Earlier in the year, Laura told fans that she was getting her first dose of the vaccine early because of her underlying health condition.

She was diagnosed with the autoimmune deficiency disease following the birth of her daughter Tahlia, now six.

On her way to the vaccination centre, Laura, who also shares son Rocco, seven, with her husband Alex Goward, said: “I got a message from the NHS because I have an underlying health condition.

“I do know a few of you on here are aware that I have something called ITP, which is where I have a low platelet count in my blood.

“It means I can bruise pretty badly and when Tahlia was just seven months old I had a really bad outburst of it and that’s how I became aware of ITP,” she explained.
