She’s best known for her presenting role on Channel 4 favourite property show, A Place In The Sun, but Laura Hamilton, 39, often sets pulses racing by encouraging her social media followers to join in with her Instagram Live workouts. The star’s feed features a whole host of exercise and positive body image posts and the favourite TV host has finally broken her silence on how she achieves her “strong not skinny” frame.
It’s so important not to say you’re on a diet
Speaking about diet culture, the star revealed that she has banned the word “diet” in her house, in case it negatively impacts her children, Tahlia and Rocco.
She said: “It’s so important not to say you’re on a diet, especially with kids around.
“Diet is just a bad word. It should be an eating plan or a lifestyle that you’re hoping to follow.”
The TV host started posting live workouts on social media at the start of the coronavirus pandemic and hasn’t stopped since.

Addressing the impact that her exercise regime has had on her body, she admitted that she’d become stronger.
“I wouldn’t say I’ve had weight loss but I would say my body has changed over the last year,” she explained.
“I’ve probably become a bit more athletic and muscular because of the workouts I’ve been doing.”
The star added that in addition to working out, she also tries to time her last meal of the day.

Speaking to The Daily Star, she said: “I now try to eat with my children during the week and that tends to be around five o’clock in the afternoon.
“If I don’t eat with them, then I find that I’m not eating until eight or nine at night and that’s too late and it makes you feel heavy.
“So I try to eat with the children and not to pick at their leftovers.”
The favourite TV host also spoke about the role alcohol plays in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

She revealed that while she is not a “big drinker”, she hasn’t cut alcohol out of her diet completely and enjoys the odd drink with friends.
Laura typically does a couple of live workouts a week with trainer Harry Sellers.
On April 11 the star took to social media to share her excitement about gyms reopening as lockdown restrictions lifted.
She wrote: “Who else is excited that the inside of gyms will open up tomorrow? I can’t b****y wait!”
Speaking to Express.co.uk earlier in the year, the star spoke about the Instagram workouts she started doing when the pandemic hit last year.
She said: “I didnt even think about who would be interested in doing workouts with me over the last year, but I thought I’m going to do it anyway.
“Even if you can make a difference to one person’s life, you’re making a difference right?”
Addressing the success of the workout videos, the presenter said: “It feels that, you know, a lot of people have been fired up and motivated and wanting to join in, so it’s good.”
