A Syrian was stabbed to death by his son in France

A 24-year-old Syrian man suffering from a mental illness stabbed his 57-year-old father to death on Saturday night, Sunday in Metz, eastern France, according to identical sources.

“A young man killed his father with a white weapon,” the district governor told AFP, referring to a “family tragedy”.

For his part, the prosecutor in charge of the investigation explained that “a murder with stabbing took place in Metz last night”, adding that “the investigations are still in course”.

Police sources indicated that the man “killed his father with a knife” before his “brothers managed to control him”.

The offender’s five brothers were assisted by firefighters because of their injuries and the offender, who suffers from schizophrenia, was placed in police custody.
