A tripartite summit that brought together the leaders of Egypt, Bahrain and Jordan in Sharm El-Sheikh

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a tripartite summit today Sunday that included King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein in Sharm El Sheikh.

Ambassador Bassam Radi, spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the President welcomed his two brothers, the Bahraini and the Jordanian, as dear guests in Egypt, expressing its appreciation for the close and historic relations that unite the three countries at the official and popular level, underlining Egypt’s aspiration to strengthen constructive cooperation between Egypt, Bahrain and Jordan, in order to realize the common interests of their fraternal peoples and strengthen the efforts of joint Arab action, especially in light of the great challenges resulting from the multiple regional and international developments.

For their part, the two Egyptian guests praised the close ties that unite the three countries, underlining their willingness to raise cooperation with Egypt to the level of strategic partnership, in a way that maximizes the three countries’ benefit from the opportunities and potentials inherent in the cooperative relations between them, in addition to the fact that these relations represent a cornerstone for maintaining regional security and stability and for restoring the balance in the region, in light of the fundamental importance of Egypt, Bahrain and Jordan at the regional and international level.

The talks addressed the close fraternal relations and the paths of constructive bilateral cooperation between the three countries and mutual coordination on various issues of common interest, as well as the latest developments on the regional and international scene and the challenges that the region faces.

Those responsible underlined the depth of the fraternal and strategic relations between the three brother countries and the importance of strengthening, developing and elevating them to the highest levels in order to achieve common goals and interests.

The leaders also welcomed the upcoming summit to be hosted by the fraternal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia between the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq and the United States of America.
