According to Raiden Voice Actor Claim, “In The Upcoming Weeks” the Metal Gear Announcements Will Be Made

In Metal Gear Solid, Raiden’s voice actor has hinted at upcoming announcements for games in the Konami-owned property.

Quinton Flynn is connected to the well-known video game franchise because he played Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, and the spinoff movie Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

The actor tweeted a video promoting his Cameo service last week. In it, he alternates between the voices of many video game characters he has portrayed over his career, including Raiden, and offers customized speech as a service.

One commenter on the video pointed out that the hack-and-slash game’s release on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC ten years ago will be commemorated next month with the Metal Gear Rising 10th Anniversary. In response, another poster asked if a Metal Gear Rising 2 unveiling as part of a wider Metal Gear display would be coming.

Flynn teasingly responded at this point, promising great things would follow.

Fans of Metal Gear will undoubtedly be intrigued by the response, but it must be clear to whom Flynn was referring. The actor appears to be privy to the information. Still, it might be about a Metal Gear Rising 2 sequel, a Metal Gear Solid streamed event, or a reveal of another Metal Gear Solid-related product.

For many years, publisher Konami has been silent on the franchise’s future. However, whispers of new films and remakes have started to circulate. Konami was identified as a client of the Singapore-based Virtuos studio last year. The group added the FOX engine, which was employed in creating Metal Gear Solid V, as a domain of expertise.
