A rumor that Season Two of Modern Warfare 2 (including Warzone 2.0) has been postponed by two weeks is making the rounds on Twitter.

That’s a lot of ‘twos.’

On February 2nd, Season Two was scheduled to premiere, adding new content to the platform’s somewhat diminishing library. The update will be available on February 16th, according to leaks, and neither Activision nor Infinity Ward has yet to refute the claim officially.

What’s Happening to Call of Duty?

According to a new report, Warzone 2.0 is losing players at a much faster rate than was initially thought. Since the release of Modern Warfare 2 in October 2022, players have been frantically looking for a true way to enjoy the game.

It’s getting more and harder for anyone to enjoy the casual multiplayer platform with the most punishing SBMM mechanics we’ve ever seen in a Call of Duty game.

Fans had expected a “substantial” content decrease for almost three months. Although Season One was by no means a minor update, it felt poorly done, and viewers are still eager for more. Important artwork and content that may appear in Season Two have recently leaked. Even that, though, might have been delayed right now.

There were hopes that Season Two would be good for the platform, bringing two refurbished maps from the Modern Warfare series’ past and adding a new Resurgence-style level in Warzone 2.0.

Players in both games will have to wait even longer to access Season Two’s content. On the one hand, if the leak is accurate, gamers have two more weeks to work their way through the battle pass until its conclusion. On the other hand, it indicates that it’s a further extension of a situation that has already frustrated gamers of both games.
