Activision Commits to Call of Duty Mobile Updates as Warzone Mobile Launch Nears

Activision is dedicated to providing regular updates to Call of Duty Mobile as Warzone Mobile’s launch date approaches.

The company recently announced that it will be removing some content from Call of Duty Mobile, such as Shoot House and Alcatraz, which will be available in Warzone Mobile when it releases on March 21. However, these maps will return to Call of Duty Mobile later in the year, rotating in and out each season.

Fans can expect new content to be added to Call of Duty Mobile every season, with no plans to reduce the amount of content available to players. Warzone Mobile will include popular game modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Search & Destroy.

Some multiplayer maps like Shipment, Scrapyard, and Shoot House will be featured in Warzone Mobile, although Shoot House will be temporarily leaving Call of Duty Mobile.

Additionally, Warzone Mobile will offer a 120-player battle royale mode on the classic Verdansk map, as well as a 48-player mode on Rebirth Island with Resurgence rules. Rebirth Island is a reimagined version of Alcatraz from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Call of Duty: Mobile, developed by Tencent’s Timi studio, has been a huge success since its release in 2019 with over 650 million downloads as of May 2022. The game achieved consumer spending of over $1 billion in 2021 alone, particularly after its launch in China.

While Microsoft hinted at phasing out Call of Duty Mobile in favor of Warzone Mobile, Activision assured fans that they will continue to support the game with major updates for the foreseeable future.

Warzone Mobile is being co-developed by Activision’s Shanghai, Beenox, Digital Legends, and Solid State studios. The game had a limited release in Australia in November 2022 and has since expanded to countries like Chile, Norway, and Sweden.

Excitement for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is high, with 50 million players pre-registering for the game, according to Activision. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements regarding both Call of Duty Mobile and Warzone Mobile!
