Added Legend of Zelda’s link to Super Mario Maker 2
The Legend of Zelda’s Link Comes to Super Mario Maker 2. Nintendo today posted a trailer featuring the exciting update – the Master Sword arrives, allowing players to turn Mario into a Super Mario Bros.-style 8-bit link transform into Super Mario Maker 2.
There are clear benefits to becoming a link. He has a lot of abilities Mario does not have, such as a bow firing arrows in three directions, the sword strike, his shield, bombs, and of course the master sword himself, who can stick things. Nintendo has shown how Link can challenge the Super Mario Maker 2 classes, including a custom-tailored level – a four-player link adventure.
Other new features, such as the Ninji Speedrun mode, where players can play timed Nintendo Challenge courses, will also be available on Dec. 5. As you play, you will see the Ninji ghosts of other players running next to you. According to Nintendo, Ninji ghosts are chosen by people of similar performance, so you do not have to worry about being smoked every turn.
Speedrun events are held weekly, “with regularly distributed new courses,” says a news release from Nintendo.
In addition to Ninji Speedruns, Nintendo adds a number of course parts: the Dash Block, which gives Mario a speed boost; Frozen coins that must be melted for access; P block that turns invisible P blocks into platforms or vice versa; Spike, an enemy who throws spike balls (or snowballs when in a winterworld); and Pokey, the stacked cactus character (you can even resize it).
The December 5 Super Mario Maker 2 update is free for all players.
