Advisor to the Prime Minister of Sudan: The legacy of the former regime is heavy and big

Political adviser to the Sudanese prime minister, Abdullah Hamdok, stressed that “the legacy of the former regime is heavy and great, but we are determined to move forward”.

Yasser Arman said, in statements in Al-Arabiya on Tuesday evening that “the former regime wants to bring Sudan back to square one”.

He also said the Prime Minister has called more than once for institutions to be reformed, including the military.

“We have to admit that there is a civilian-military crisis in Sudan, “Arman said.

He also stressed: “We certainly need a Legislative Council to hold all institutions accountable”, adding: “All parties are required to return to the commitment to the revolution’s agenda”.
