Taliban spokesman Khaled Zadran said at least two civilians were injured in car bomb blast in Pashtunistan Road, in District 2 of the capital, Kabul, on Saturday afternoon.
He added that security forces had arrived at the scene and started investigating the blast, according to Tolo News news agency.
In addition, Al-Arabiya sources said the explosion in Kabul was caused by an explosive device in a security vehicle near the presidential palace.
Immediately after the blast, Taliban security forces rushed to the scene and cordoned off the place.
Since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, the country has witnessed a series of attacks, in which killed hundreds of people, and ISIS has claimed responsibility for many of those attacks.
