After a fire broke out in house, a father and his son jumped from the tenth floor in Egypt

An Egyptian father hugged his son and jumped him from the tenth floor in Nasr City, east of the capital, Cairo, to escape a fire that broke out in his home Friday, which resulted in their deaths instantly.

Mohamed Ezzat, the owner of a library, on the property where the fire broke out in the Al-Waha neighborhood of Nasr City, said he was surprised by his father’s fall, hugging his 4-year-old son, and they heard a call for help from above, so they saw the mother clinging to the tenth floor window, along with two other children.

Ezzat added to “Sky News Arabia” that the civil protection was informed, the firefighters intervened immediately, along with the rescue, and with her the mother and two children were saved.

He added that after the fire was extinguished, it was discovered that another 5-year-old girl was suffocated by the fire.

The property in where the fire broke out consists of 11 floors, the bodies of the father, son and daughter were transferred for the autopsy and the Public Prosecutor’s Office instructed the criminal laboratory to inspect and examine the cause of the fire.
