Al-Dakik a Moroccan coach who leads the soccer team within the halls of the world

Rabat: Hisham El Dkaik, head coach of the Morocco national indoor football (futsal) team, managed to top the 8th ranked team in the world for the first time, and becomes a tough number in the game internationally. After his appointment as national coach in 2010, he gained his first experience in North African Cup in Libya, where the team reached the final, then qualified for the World Cup in 2012 and won the African Cup of Nations in 2016. Al-Dakik’s ambition (49) didn’t stop there, but he reached quarterfinals of the World Cup in Lithuania in 2021. “Accumulation of player experience plays an important role in playing indoor football, so we are working on players’ body for benefits in 2024,” El-Dakik said. He said it in an interview given to the Anadolu Agency of the city of Kenitra (west), in occasion of the Moroccan national football team leader in the African indoor game, as well as eighth place in the world rankings. He added: “My interest in football started from childhood.” Al-Dakik continued, “I joined the Kenitra soccer team, as the sole outlet, and in 1996, the national indoor soccer championship was organised.” He stated that he joined the national indoor soccer team in 2000 and between the years of 2006-2007 started his interest in him as a coach of the team. And he continued: “I tried to coach individually and also to coach the players, with the help of my colleagues from the national team, since they are currently members of the team”. A bet to advance the team Al-Dakik explained that he “made a bet to promote the team in the North African League in Libya, accompanied by the players and the national team”. He added: “It is inconceivable that the national team won no prizes, as we felt we were the best technically”, referring to the Egyptian national team’s dominance of the game by qualifying 7 times for the World Cup, and later the Libyan national team was born.And he added that in 2010 he was appointed coach of the national team, so he had his first experience, the North African Cup League in Libya, where the team arrived in the final. Al-Dakik continued to win titles and awards, saying: “I was crowned the best coach of the Mediterranean Championship in 2011, because the team stood out for their game plan, technique and show.” The real breakthrough, according to Dakik, “Le prime sparks to launch the game in Morocco have been linked to the qualification of the national team in 2012, and to its victory in African Cup in 2016”. He expressed his pride for the young team, “after its victory over the Iranian team, considered one of the strongest teams in the world, during its confrontation with the Confederations Cup in Thailand”. In the same context, he added: “The player’s accumulation of experience plays a role important in the game of football inside the hall, so we are working on the body of the players for the benefits of 2024”. And in his speech he underlined that “the team is on the right track, and the results are convincing and satisfying, but we still aspire to something more, God willing”. Al-Dakik believes that “next year is a determining year, because it is the year of the African Cup of Nations in January 2024, given that the team faces a challenge to preserve the title “. As for the national team schedule, El Dkaik said that “in the coming days he will focus on organizing more tournaments to build competitiveness and equip the whole team.” He added: “The schedule to me god term is working to prepare an Olympic reserve team, with the aim of ensuring the continuity of the game and find a successor for the players”.
