Al-Eryani: Iranian statements confirm Tehran’s role in the creation of the Houthis

Yemeni Information Minister Muammar Al-Eryani commented on recent statements made by some Iranian political and military leaders on Tehran’s role in the region.

Al-Eryani said Monday in a series of tweets on Twitter that these statements are “confessions reaffirming the role of the Iranian regime in creating Houthi militia Terrorism, managing its coup against the state and using it as a weapon to implement its expansionist scheme and subversive policies in the region, and threatening international interests.

6 armies!

He also pointed out that the most dangerous of these confessions were the statements revealed by the commander of the so-called “Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters” of the Revolutionary Guard, Ghulam Ali Rashid, where he claimed that former Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani , announced, three months before his death, that he had established an axis of 6 armies outside the borders of Iran.

He also said that Rashid said in his statements: “If anyone wants to target Iran, they must first confront these armies.”

“The truth about what is happening in Yemen “

He added: “These dangerous statements reveal the truth about what is happening in Yemen since 2014 and the nature of the role played by the Houthi militia in implementing the Iranian agenda at the expense of the cascade of blood flowing from its coup against the state, and its continuation of political and military escalation and undermining solutions peaceful to the crisis by the Iranian orders “.

It also called on the international community, the United Nations and the permanent members of the Security Council to face up to their legal responsibilities in compliance with the UN Charter and principles and to “put an end to Iran’s blatant meddling in Yemeni affairs and its attempts to use the file as a card for pressure, blackmail and political gain”.

Among these is Hezbollah

Interestingly, Gholam Ali Rashid’s statements were reported by the Iranian Mehr Agency from a ceremony held at the headquarters of the General Staff on Sunday.

Rashid said the six armies include Lebanese Hezbollah, Hamas and Jihad movements, regime forces in Syria, the Iraqi People’s Mobilization Forces and the Houthi militia in Yemen, stressing that these militias represent a deterrent force for Iran.

Interestingly, US forces had killed Soleimani and the deputy head of the popular mobilization militia in Iraq, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, in a raid near Baghdad International Airport on Jan.3, 2020.
