In a statement to the official Yemeni news agency (Saba), Minister Al-Eryani said the US navy and Yemeni coast guard had previously seized a number of cells containing smuggling, weapons shipments and materials used in making missiles. ballistic weapons and drones, which were heading towards the Houthi terrorist militia, without the international community taking any action against the Iranian regime.

He stressed that the Iranian regime has played an important role in undermining truce efforts and prolonging the war and crisis in Yemen in recent years through the Houthi terrorist militia to implement its destructive policies against neighboring countries, destabilizing the security and stability of the region and threatening energy security and global shipping traffic in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab.

The Yemeni information minister called on the international community, the United Nations and the permanent members of the Security Council to fulfill their legal responsibilities in stopping the practices of the Iranian regime and its Houthi militias in Yemen, which threaten the pace and regional and international security, and to hold it accountable for its flagrant violations of Security Council Resolution 2216 and international laws and treaties.
