Al-Ittihad resumes training .. Contra focuses on fitness

Al-Ittihad Club’s first football team will resume training today at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd stadium at the headquarters of the club, after the leave granted by the coaching staff, led by Roman Cosmin Contra, to the players for a period of 5 days due to the suspension of local competitions for the days of FIFA.

Contra will focus on raising the rate of fitness of the players to make up for what they have lost in stock during the holiday, which some items preferred to spend outside the Kingdom.

The federal team’s suspension period is the longest of the rest of the club, due to the postponement of the match against Al Hilal in the twelfth round of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional Cup, so the coaching staff preferred to play two friendlies to keep the pace of the matches.

The international quintet, Ziad Al-Sahafi, Saud Abdul Hamid, Abdul-Ilah Al-Maliki, Abdul Rahman Al-Aboud and Fahd Al-Mawlid, will be absent from training for entry in National, in addition to The Egyptian national Ahmed Hegazy.
