Al-Jubeir examines the Kingdom’s efforts and initiatives to preserve the environment

His Excellency the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member and Climate Envoy, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, today participated in a session entitled: “Diplomatic relations and international cooperation”, as part of the activities of the Green Saudi Initiative forum held on the sidelines of the Cop27 World Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh. At the beginning of the session, His Excellency passed in reviews the Kingdom’s efforts and initiatives to preserve the environment and reduce climate change, which are among the pillars of the Kingdom Vision 2030, noting that the Kingdom has many initiatives in renewable energy in order to protect the environment and bears responsibility to pay attention to climate change.

On the importance of international cooperation in the field of climate, His Excellency said: The problem of climate change does not recognize gender, gender or borders, calling on the international community to cooperate to address the effects of climate change.

In this regard, His Excellency touched on the results of the Green Middle East Initiative 2022 summit and the importance of achieving climate and environmental objectives, in a way that contributes to the achievement of the goals of the United Nations for Sustainable Development for the year 2030.
