Alicia Silverstone Rocks Iconic Clueless Look in Age-Defying Super Bowl Ad

Alicia Silverstone recently sent fans into a frenzy when she reprised her iconic role from the 90s classic film Clueless for a Rakuten Super Bowl advert. The 46-year-old actress, who played Cher Horowitz, looks ageless in the teaser clips released, prompting fans to question if she had used AI deep fake technology. Silverstone first rocketed to stardom in the 1995 film alongside Stacey Dash, who played Dionne Davenport. Since then, the two stars have largely retired from Hollywood, with Alicia becoming a published author and Stacey embarking on a career with Fox News.

In the ad, Alicia walks to the front of a classroom saying “Don’t bug. Your girl is back.” She had previously teased the advert with a TikTok clip of her stringing bubblegum from her mouth. While this sparked excitement amongst 90s fans, some younger viewers were left confused, unable to pick up on the references.

The influence of Clueless on pop culture has been undeniable. In 2018, the hit film was transformed into an off-Broadway musical, with Alicia’s role being taken over by singer and actress Dove Cameron. Alicia Silverstone’s return as Cher Horowitz has sent fans into a frenzy, with many amazed at her ageless appearance. The full advert is set to air during the 2023 Super Bowl and is sure to be a hit with fans of the original film.
