The Telegraph reported Saturday, citing multiple sources, that Tesla CEO Elon Musk indicated competition concerns over Nvidia Corp’s planned purchase of British chip designer Arm.

The newspaper reported that e-commerce giant Amazon and smartphone maker Samsung Electronics also filed opposition to the deal with US authorities.

At the beginning of questyear, the United States Federal Trade Commission opened a thorough investigation into the acquisition.

The survey results are expected to emerge in the coming weeks, according to the newspaper.

Tesla, Amazon, Samsung and Nvidia did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Nvidia is likely to seek EU antitrust approval to buy Arm in a $ 54 billion deal early next month, with regulators expected to launch a full investigation after an initial review, people familiar with the matter said.
