#Roommates, as 2019 officially comes to an end, it means that several outlets are publishing their top year lists. From music, movies, fashion, TV and your favorite couples, there is a ranking for almost everything – and that also includes the most popular GIFs of the year. 2019 was dominated by a GIF whose users simply couldn’t get enough of it … Does “And I Oop” mean anything to you?
The best thing about GIFs is that you can say so much or so little by just adding it as a thought or response, although they are best used when a little bit of shadow is involved. @GIPHY has officially published its list of the best GIFs of the year and we all have to thank Jasmine Masters, former competitor of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”, for his number one place. His incredibly popular GIF “And I Oop” was seen more than 490 million times in 2019 alone.
To give you a bit of history behind the GIF which has become a pop culture phenomenon, let’s go. It started when Jasmine posted a YouTube video about people who can’t manage their alcohol. At one point during the discussion, Jasmine accidentally hit her groin area, and thus the meme “And I Oop” was born.
Giphy was so happy with the success of “And I Oop” this year, that the company even sent Jasmine a special plaque for her honor and also a framed version of her GIF which will likely be as popular next year as this one. this. year.
