It happened again.
On Tuesday night, Andrei Svechnikov did just about anything else in NHL history when he scored a “lacrosse-style” goal behind the Carolina Hurricanes.
The previous snapshot of such a goal? October 29, by Svechnikov.

With Carolina visiting the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday, a scrambled-over competition required a bit of spark to give one of the teams enough advantage to take control of the game.
With the game tied 2-2 in the middle of the second period, Svechnikov pooled the puk along the boards and headed behind the Winnipeg net. Sitting right behind Jet netminder Connor Hellebuyck, 19-year-old Svechnikov took the mouse on his stick and placed it on Hellebuyck’s right shoulder.
It was a close copy of Svenovic’s goal scoring the Calgary Flames and on Tuesday he served as a focal point for his team, as the Blues scored four goals in a 6-3 final win with the teenager’s jaw – marking the catalyst.
