Angelina had reportedly attempted to overturn the decision made by Judge Ouderkirk last week.

However, the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star has refused to back down and has blasted his former spouse in a statement from his lawyers.

Angelina has appealed to have the judge thrown off the case and is also seeking a temporary block on proceedings while she tries again with further legal action.

Brad slammed the move in damning new documents, stating that her antics would harm their children.

In a statement from his lawyers, he said: “Any delay would only work grave harm upon the children, who will be further denied permanence and stability.”

It adds that allowing the proceedings being delayed would be “wholly inappropriate”.

The former couple has been locked in legal proceedings since their 2016 divorce, with the actress bidding to retain custody of their children amid allegations Brad was abusive to their then 15-year-old son Maddox during a private jet flight from France to the US.

However, following years of acrimony, Judge Ouderkirk ruled that he did not believe the allegations about Brad’s behaviour and ordered him to be given access again.

The ruling followed almost five years of the Oscar-winner attempting to win equal rights to their six children.

The case saw months of witness testimony, including from child services experts and therapists.

In a lengthy ruling, the judge claimed Angelina’s testimony “lacked credibility in many important areas”.

He added: “The existing custody order must be modified in the best interests of the children.”

Angelina had claimed that Judge Ouderkirk had refused to hear evidence, which the Lara Croft actress says is relevant to their children’s safety and wellbeing, before a tentative ruling was issued.

“Judge Ouderkirk denied Ms Jolie a fair trial, improperly excluding her evidence relevant to the children’s health, safety, and welfare, evidence critical to making her case,” her lawyers claimed in the filing for California’s Second District Court of Appeal.

She also alleged that the judge “has failed to adequately consider” a section of the California Rules of Court.

Angelina claims this could be detrimental to the child if custody is given to a person with a history of domestic violence.

In response to Angelina’s filing, Brad’s attorneys alleged: “Ouderkirk has conducted an extensive proceeding over the past six months in a thorough, fair manner and reached a tentative ruling and order after hearing from experts and percipient witnesses.”
