Apple Arcade was launched earlier this year with a single subscription option: $ 4.99 per month. A new option is now available for players who want to pay annually – and at a discount – for $ 49.99 a year.
If you’ve already subscribed to Apple Arcade, you can switch to the annual fee by selecting your Apple ID profile in Settings and navigating to the subscription page. Select Apple Arcade there. New users will likely get this option when they sign up for the service. Polygon has contacted Apple for clarification.
The annual option is good business. Essentially, gamers get access to two free months of Apple Arcade. If you pay the monthly fee, you end up spending $ 59.99 a year.
Apple Arcade was launched on September 19 with more than 100 games. New titles are added frequently. This week, the ultimate crossover game Ultimate Rivals: The Rink by Bit Fry Game Studios was added to the already impressive lineup. In fact, many of Polygon’s 50 best games are available on Apple Arcade, including Grindstone, What the Golf?, Card of Darkness, Manifold Garden, and Sayonara Wild Hearts.
